Have you ever done a Kneipp walk in the middle of the forest?
The hike to Krabes Alm starts in the centre of Altrei. Passing the Hotel Waldheim, you walk in to the Kneipp facility of Altrei and then slightly uphill on a wide forest path along hiking trail no. 3. A very pleasant path. At a crossroads you turn sharp right and the path then climbs slightly uphill to the Masi Pausa (break farms).
You walk along a wide forest path which soon turns into a mule track and then into a forest path and soon you reach the beautiful Krabes Alm. Beautiful flowers on the balconies welcome you. You can sit inside and outside in the open air. There is a great view of the mountains of the Lagorei.
After you have enjoyed the excellent South Tyrolean cuisine, you can make yourself comfortable on the meadow directly behind the alpine pasture. The way back is via Waldsteige to Altrei.
Rather short, very light except for a short, slightly exposed area
