The perfect tour for uphill junkies
This tour is perfect for those who love to slog uphill. You need to be in good shape for this one. To warm up, take a leisurely ride to Neumarkt. Then uphill to Mazzon and ever steeper to the Kanzel. After about 50m you will see a beautiful view of the South Tyrolean Unterland (“lower land” = area south of Bozen) on the left. Then continue on to Gschnon. Tip for a nice break: Dorfnerhof.
After a your pit stop, continue on to Pinzon. At a fork in the road after the Buschenschank Lexnhof (also highly recommended), you can make a short detour to the waterfall (follow the signs and back again). Fill up your water bottle and continue downhill along forest paths and single trails to Neumarkt. Take the cycle path back to the hotel.
