We believe that a hotel can only ever be as great as the people behind it. That\u2019s why we strive every day to make your holiday truly special. The Traminerhof is more than just a stylish establishment with modern rooms and a chic bar; it\u2019s a place for genuine encounters, honest advice and relaxed, informal chats on first-name terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Armin<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Armin has, in essence, made us what we are today. As early as 1993, he turned the Traminerhof into a cycle hotel, thereby setting the course for our current way of life and business philosophy: \u201cGood Life. Cool Ride.\u201d. He managed to turn his hobby into a career and still loves showing guests our region on a mountain bike to this day.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Evi<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Our hostess Evi, the heart and soul of the place. She puts so much passion into everything she does that we are constantly impressed. Whether it\u2019s her sweet and savoury treats at breakfast or the lovely decorations in every corner of the Traminerhof. At home, too, she loves to spoil her loved ones with hearty delicacies and creates a cosy atmosphere.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Andreas<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Andreas, the junior manager, has certainly made his mark here. During the last refurbishment, he put his trendy ideas into practice and breathed new life into the Traminerhof. The new look, Bar62 and the new lobby are all his handiwork. His main aim is to make your holiday as authentic as possible, and he\u2019s come up with plenty of ideas to achieve this. In his spare time, he loves nothing more than being out in nature (as you\u2019d expect). Whether it\u2019s cycling, hiking high up in the mountains, playing tennis or going for a jog \u2013 the main thing is to keep active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fabian<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Fabian, our IT specialist, barista, bike guide, photography and video expert\u2026 \u2013 we could go on and on. He\u2019s a real jack-of-all-trades, studied in Vienna, and helps us out wherever he can.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The founder, Rita, and her husband, Erwin<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Grandma Rita built the Traminerhof in 1962 as the first hotel in Tramin, with around 70 guest beds \u2013 a truly remarkable achievement for the time. Together with her husband Erwin, she ran the hotel for decades with great passion, dedication and enthusiasm. Even today, she still enjoys helping out with the running of the business. The laundry service for cycling kit is a labour of love for her, and she wouldn\u2019t dream of letting anyone else take it on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Erwin has run the Traminerhof alongside Rita almost from the very beginning. His secret passion was building, and so we have him to thank for numerous extensions to the hotel. Today, one of his favourite tasks is showing guests around. He never says no to a cosy afternoon enjoying a \u2018Brettljause\u2019 at the Tiefenbrunner Winery in Kurtatsch 😊<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Kora<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Kora embodies service with a heart: attentive, enthusiastic and always with a smile. From the very first meeting, she is open and warm, and her enthusiasm is infectious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a true Tramin native, she not only loves her job, but also enjoys jogging and hiking in her home region \u2013 and every now and then, she likes to let her hair down a bit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

cLAUDIA<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Our service manager, Claudia, has never been seen without a smile on her face. She loves cycling her routes on her road bike \u2013 the further, the better. Whether she\u2019s out cycling or in the mountains, she loves exploring new places and then rounding off the evening in style with her friends over a few drinks. She\u2019s a real asset to the team, not only because of her many years\u2019 experience in customer service, but also thanks to her charismatic and outgoing nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AYSA<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The Burgstall native joined our Traminerhof team in the 2026 season and settled in straight away. With her cheerful nature and always a witty remark at the ready, she brings a breath of fresh air to reception every day \u2013 and also ensures that you\u2019re always kept up to date with the latest happenings at the hotel via our social media channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An enthusiastic mountaineer, she loves going on excursions on her days off, preferably to a lake, where she can unwind and recharge her batteries. Just like our guests, she loves going on holiday and travels to new places as often as possible. And whenever the opportunity arises, she\u2019s only too happy to go shopping and let herself be enchanted by the odd boutique or two.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mara<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Our Mara is calm and collected. She\u2019s been with us at the hotel for several years now and is therefore an important part of our service and bar team. She loves nothing more than mixing fancy cocktails. You can even watch her at work. So take a seat at the bar and enjoy a delicious drink. Whether it\u2019s summer or winter, in her spare time Mara enjoys cycling on her road bike or hiking in the mountains, baking cakes and playing the clarinet with the Auer brass band.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Melanie<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Melanie is the ray of sunshine on our evening shift \u2013 warm, open-minded and with a smile that\u2019s infectious. No matter how busy the restaurant gets, she keeps on top of things and has a sympathetic ear for every guest. During the day, this Kaltern native works at a nursery, looking after our youngest children \u2013 so it\u2019s no wonder she was born with the patience of a saint. Anyone who can keep children entertained certainly won\u2019t let a hectic evening on the floor rattle them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her spare time, Melanie loves being outdoors, particularly hiking around Lake Kaltern. With her open, straightforward manner, she ensures that our guests feel right at home with us.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our bike guide is never one to be caught without a quick joke. Always in good spirits and ever-motivated, Rupert guides our guests safely along all the trails. This pensioner loves cycling so much that he can\u2019t sit still, even in retirement. Rupert is warm-hearted, good-natured and always up for a laugh, even when the computer plays up. That\u2019s why he prefers to stay on his bike.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our master chef<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Matze is our young, dynamic head chef. He never ceases to surprise us with creative dishes and a blend of South Tyrolean and Italian cuisine. The dishes are not only a feast for the eyes, but also a treat for your taste buds. Matze is a calm and level-headed chap who\u2019s always up for a laugh and in a cheerful mood! In his spare time, he loves to tackle the mountain peaks on his mountain bike, and if he can find a bit of time, he heads to the football pitch or goes fishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

renate<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

If there were a roll call at the hotel, Renate would no doubt be on the list too. This loyal soul has been with us for a very long time and is currently in charge of washing our guests\u2019 cycling gear. She enjoys spending her free time with her children and grandchildren.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Anna is our cheerful all-rounder \u2013 she used to be a flexible chameleon, juggling roles between service and reception, and is now your first point of contact at the front office. Always with a witty remark or a genuine smile on her lips, she makes sure you feel welcome from the very first moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This young woman from Tramin loves travelling, nature \u2013 and the odd good party now and then. She\u2019s happiest when her step counter shows 10,000 steps by the evening. 🤭 A true globetrotter with a big heart, a great sense of humour and loads of positive energy!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

goutam<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Our hard-working Goutam has been ensuring that our crockery and pots are always clean for over 15 years now. With him on board, our kitchen team is complete and everything runs like clockwork. During the winter months, he sometimes returns to his home country of Bangladesh, where he enjoys spending time with his family<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

aNNA<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Anna has been keeping our kitchen team on their toes since the 2026 season.
As the only woman in the team, she\u2019s doing a brilliant job. Always relaxed, this native of Eppan never loses her cool. After completing her training at the Kaiserhof Hotel Management School, Anna spent some time trying her hand at office work, but as she loves cooking with all her heart, she quickly returned to her passion. We\u2019re absolutely delighted to have her on our team!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Our breakfast fairy enchants you every day with our wide range of breakfast options. But that\u2019s not all \u2013 the sugar-free treats on our buffet, such as the delicious \u2018Dattella\u2019 and the wholemeal breads and bars, are all homemade by Martina. After all, she doesn\u2019t just love serving guests and getting up early \u2013 she also loves healthy baking.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sudesna<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Our housekeeper Sudesna is as busy as a bee. She always keeps track of all arrivals and departures and, together with her team, makes every corner of the Traminerhof sparkle. Sudesna also has a real talent for cooking \u2013 especially Indian cuisine. If you need a recipe tip, just ask her 😉<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Wiktoria<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Wiktoria was born in Poland and has been living in South Tyrol with her boyfriend for several years. Her friendly nature is a real asset to our service team. She always has a lovely smile on her face, exudes a pleasant calm and is hard to rattle. Ever since studying food technology, she has had a passion for good food.
To unwind, she loves using her home gym, reading a good book or curling up on the sofa to watch a film.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Patrick<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Patrick is from Sexten \u2013 yes, the same place as tennis star Jannik Sinner. He didn\u2019t quite make it as a professional tennis player, but he has become a true expert when it comes to service. Espresso in the morning, a cocktail in the evening \u2013 life with Patrick is never dull; he\u2019s always got a good one-liner up his sleeve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His secret passion? Gin! There\u2019s probably not a single one he doesn\u2019t know (or has tried). In his legendary gin book, he has meticulously recorded which gin pairs best with which tonic and which botanicals \u2013 a true masterpiece. In his spare time, he loves nothing more than enjoying good food and drink with family and friends. A connoisseur through and through \u2013 with a real eye for detail.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Simon<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Simon, our enthusiastic chef, likes to spend his time outside the kitchen with friends, his newborn nephew, training for a run or at the gym. He always makes sure he has the right music to hand \u2013 apart from country music, you can expect to find just about anything on his playlist.
When he\u2019s not at work, he enjoys travelling. He\u2019s particularly taken with the Spanish way of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

zumra<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Zumra has been part of our housekeeping team for over two decades. She cleans the rooms meticulously, paying attention to even the smallest details, and makes the whole house sparkle. Before joining the housekeeping team, she spent several years working happily in the kitchen, helping out wherever she could. She loves spending her free time with her family.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

To those who know him, Egon is simply Egon. As the only member of the team without a fixed timetable, but with plenty of warmth to spare, Egon is always around and up for a chat. He usually spends his afternoons in the lobby, making sure all our guests are well looked after. Egon also works behind the scenes to keep our service fridges stocked.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

aLEX<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

No matter how busy the bar gets, you\u2019ll never see Alex looking stressed. He\u2019s the epitome of calm, yet he\u2019s always up for a joke. He delights all the bar\u2019s guests with his unusual cocktail creations. But it\u2019s not just colourful cocktails he knows all about \u2013 wine is his real passion. For many years, he was the face of the Tramin Winery\u2019s wine shop.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Petra<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

A native of Kurtatsch and a four-time \u2018Super Mummy\u2019, she is also part of the hotel\u2019s service management team. She loves and lives for her career in the hospitality industry. This is particularly evident in the way she interacts with guests: she laughs the loudest and is guaranteed to make everyone laugh \u2013 whether she\u2019s setting the table, serving food or simply passing by. With her open, warm manner, she makes you feel right at home straight away, and anyone who\u2019s had a chat with her is guaranteed to leave the restaurant with a smile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonas<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Jonas is our kitchen apprentice from Laag (Neumarkt) \u2013 quiet, but always fully focused. When it comes to cooking, he\u2019s almost unstoppable: curious, eager to learn and truly passionate about his work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His big moment? Every Wednesday at the antipasti buffet, where he tops your pizza with great finesse and care \u2013 tailored entirely to your taste, of course. And if you spot a tiny 50cc car in the car park in the morning \u2013 yes, that\u2019s Jonas. A true legend on four mini wheels.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
