Lake Caldaro

Lake Caldaro is only 5 km away and is easy to reach on foot, by bike, bus or car. The lake is situated at 220 m and is the warmest alpine lake, making it ideal for swimming and windsurfing. If you like it quieter, place yourself on the east side of the lake and enjoy swimming at the “Klughammer” lawn. On the west side, on the other hand, there’s already more going on: several sunbathing lawns, Lido, restaurants, cafés, shops… for those who like it a little busier.

Eppan

Lakes of Montiggl

Montiggl belongs to Eppan and is about 20 km from the Traminerhof. There are two lakes to discover: the small and the big Montiggl lake. Both lakes have an excellent water quality and are ideal for swimming. There are also marked paths leading past them and you can easily reach the lakes on foot or by bike. Our preferred stop is the restaurant at the Small Montiggler Lake which offers a bathing beach and excellent cuisine.

Margreid

Lakes of Fennberg

The winding mountain road takes you from the little village of Kurtatsch through forests, meadows, vineyards and orchards to the high plateau of Fennberg. The highlight up there is certainly the small Fennberg bathing lake. Since 1977, the Fennberger See has been a protected area due to its enormous botanical and faunistic value. However, a small jetty offers the opportunity to swim in the crystal-clear moor water with a panoramic view of the small church and the surrounding mountains. Water lilies, reeds and dragonflies gather around the lake. Easy to reach from Tramin by car or racing bike. Usually you can swim between May and September.

Aldein

Lake Göller

Lake Göller is located in Aldein (approx. 15 km from Tramin). From the village you can reach the Göllersee via a forest path – which is also suitable for prams. The idyllic moorish-green, but clean forest lake is a treasure for all those who like to hike a little and enjoy a lot. A refreshing recommendation for warm late summer days at almost 1100 metres above sea level. Not suitable as a destination in late spring and early summer, as there are usually many ticks.

Cembra

Lago Santo

The Lago Santo is located in the Cembra Valley at an altitude of almost 1200 m. The quiet forest lake owes its name to a legend. According to the legend there was once a plot of land on the site of the lake. This became the object of dispute between heirs. One of the heirs, in his desperation, finally wished that the property should be turned into a lake. From that moment on, so much water came out of the ground that it threatened to flood the Cembra housing estate. Because of the danger, the villagers set out for the property. When the priest threw the Madonna’s ring to the ground, the water calmed down. Since that time, this place has been called Lago Santo, meaning “the holy lake”. You can reach the lake by car via the Cembra Valley or by bicycle via Salurn and Gfrill.

Nature Experience trail

The nature discovery trail is perfect for a short family hike. You will always have beautiful views of Lake Caldaro. Display boards inform you about the diverse flora and fauna, as well as the geological finds in this area. This makes the Tramin nature experience trail a special experience for young and old. From Traminerhof you start in the direction of Söll and enter the nature experience trail shortly after the Hotel Winzerhof. The path leads through vineyards and Mediterranean mixed forest up to Söll. Once there, follow the signs to Lake Caldaro. A delicious ice cream or an aperitif in the sun awaits you at the lake? You can either return to Tramin on paths that lead through the apple orchards or by public bus.

Höllental Geo Trail

Along the geological trail you will find out all you need to know about geology and the associated connections at various stations and information boards. From the Traminerhof you start in the direction of the fairground and then continue uphill along the Höllentalbach stream. From the gravel road onwards, information boards will accompany you with information about the impressive gorge and its rock types. You can extend the path by following the signs to Gummererhof. After about 1 km follow the signs to the Zogglerwiese. The meadow is perfect for a small picnic. Return along the forest road through a shady mixed forest to Söll and from there along the nature experience trail to Tramin.

Gewürztraminer Trail

The Gewürztraminer wine trail leads through the Mediterranean landscape of the Tramin vineyards to the district of Rungg and back again. The Gewürztraminer vine grows particularly well in the warm and well-ventilated steep slopes above the village. Along the way there are many beautiful views of the surrounding mountain world. You will also see our historic village with its typical wineries and old estates from a completely different side. From the Traminerhof you start in the direction of the village centre on the main square. Now you walk along the Schneckenthaler Straße and soon you will see the entrance to the Gewürztraminer Weinweg on the left side. At the beginning there is already a small square with olive tree, apple tree and two seats made of barrique barrels – wonderful!

The “Buschenschank” in Kurtatsch is a popular place for bikers and hikers to stop by. No wonder, super distant view here! From the large terrace you can see the Kalterer See and further on to the Dolomites. On the menu you will find simple, typical dishes that taste really good.

Krabes Alm

Find a place on an outdoor table and enjoy the view of the Lagorei mountains. Also worth seeing are the beautiful flowers that decorate the balcony. Perhaps not only women will notice them. But of course you are not only here to admire the mountains and flowers, but you also want to eat something. Open from the beginning of May.
Our mega pleasure tip: Ask for the Schupfnudeln (potato noodles), which are sometimes available off the menu.

Powertrail

Short and intense. Ideal for a short tour in the evening. From Tramin along the cycle path to Neumarkt. Then follows the uphill. With rather few height meters short uphill and afterwards a very long downhill over the Powertrail which makes you really happy! Stop for an ice cream at Arlecchino or the Lexenhof in Glen (with a small detour).

Tramin

Single Trail Tramin

You find yourself always in Tramin and still have trails without end. It goes up to Söll and on to Graun. Then to Altenburg and back. On the tour you have over and over a great view to the valley and the Lake Caldaro. It’s a very contrasting and conditionally ambitious tour. Tip for lunch: Waldschenke in Altenburg.

Penegal Trail

1,737 m full of everything! Technical passages, flowing downhills, roots, stones, rocks, everything is included. Concentration, technique and power is required. Tip: Rifugio alle Regole, at the Regole meadows. Note: You can’t stop at the Prinzhütte (is on the way).

Monte Roen

Our special tour with almost 2000 depth meters and a single trail of 14 km from Roen to Tramin. A technically ambitious trail, both uphill and downhill. Without descending, maybe 5 of our guests could manage it the whole year! Want to become number 6?

To Cisloner Alm

One downhill with a difficult section. Hairpin bends, steps, past a horse meadow. And to finish, of course, an ice cream at the Arlecchino. A stop is also possible directly in the Alm. Very delicious food and awesome view!
